1. Who we are
ToolPlexer is a service that lets agents discover and run tools through a single interface. In this policy, “ToolPlexer,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the ToolPlexer service.
Questions about privacy or requests relating to your information can be sent to support@toolplexer.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use ToolPlexer, we may collect:
- Account information: your email address and account identifiers provided through Clerk, plus organization and workspace membership details.
- Credentials and key metadata: API key labels, prefixes, creation and revocation times, last-used times, and spending limits. We store a hash of an API key rather than the secret itself.
- Usage and billing information: tool calls, task inputs, outputs, run status, timestamps, provider information, latency, pricing, wallet ledger entries, ratings, and budget activity.
- Payment information: payment and refund identifiers, product or credit-pack details, and payment status. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by ToolPlexer.
- Blockchain payment information: a payer wallet address and settlement information when you use an x402 payment flow.
- Technical information: information needed to secure and operate the service, such as request metadata, browser or device details, and diagnostic logs made available by our hosting and authentication providers.
- Communications: messages you send to support and information you provide when reporting a problem or requesting help.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, authenticate, maintain, and secure ToolPlexer;
- route tool requests, execute runs, show results, and operate the wallet and ledger;
- process payments, refunds, disputes, budgets, and fraud or abuse checks;
- measure provider quality, availability, latency, and pricing so routing can improve;
- respond to support requests and communicate about the service;
- debug, prevent misuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations; and
- develop and improve the service using aggregated or appropriately protected information.
4. When we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:
- Tool providers: the inputs required to execute a tool request, along with technical metadata needed for the request. The provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply to that processing.
- Service providers: vendors that provide authentication, hosting, databases, payments, email, monitoring, or security services.
- Workspace administrators: members or administrators of a shared organization workspace may be able to see workspace usage, runs, spending, and other information made available to that workspace.
- Legal and safety recipients: authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, or the service.
- Business transfers: a successor or transaction party if ToolPlexer is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Your content and third-party tools
ToolPlexer may process the prompts, inputs, files, URLs, and other content that you submit or direct an agent to submit. Do not send information that you are not authorized to share or that requires a level of confidentiality the selected provider cannot support.
ToolPlexer is a routing and billing layer, not the provider of every tool in the catalog. Before running a tool, review its schema, price, availability, and any applicable provider terms. We do not control how an upstream provider stores or uses information after receiving a request.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain billing and accounting records, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce our agreements. Retention varies by record type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where practical, subject to backups and legal requirements.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No online service or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and local storage
ToolPlexer and our authentication provider may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, protect the service, and maintain security. The dashboard also stores your theme preference in browser local storage. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can manage account keys and workspace settings in the dashboard, and you can contact us to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If your request concerns information controlled by a third-party tool provider, you may need to contact that provider directly.
9. Children
ToolPlexer is not directed to children who are below the minimum age required to use online services in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as ToolPlexer changes. We will update the date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the service after an update means the updated policy applies.
